In 2001 I graduated from Kingston University with a First Class Honours Degree in Graphic Design (with ‘Commendation for Moving Image’), during my second year I won a Student Gold Promax Award and completed work experience at the BBC, Channel 4, BSkyB and Discovery Channel. After graduating with a 1st I worked full-time for various London design agencies before going freelance in 2009. In 2016 I co-founded the design agency Assemble + Play, and in 2019 I’ll be returning with my wife and daughter to my home city of Birmingham, to work in my studio in The Custard Factory in Digbeth.

Over the course of my career so far I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sony, Nike, Beats, Google, Skype, Intel, Canon, Hopster, Lost My Name, BT, EE, P&G, Coca Cola, BBC, BERG, ACNE, Wallpaper*, eyewear brand Carrera and even my heroes since university - Modern Toss!

The work I create ranges from hand-drawn and vector-based characters, UI prototypes, explainer videos, animated logos, detailed motion principle guidelines, several whopping series of animated campaigns and quite a few super-top-secret projects. I’m happy working solo or as part of a team with other animators, illustrators and designers. These days I work mostly from my home or my studio in the Custard Factory on account of my parenting duties - as such my rates are very competitive.

If you’re interested in working with me or finding out more about the services I offer, then please get in touch either on LinkedIn or through the Contact section of this website.
